FIVE YEAR PLAN:
Below is a summary of the newest Five Year Plan adopted by the Club's Board of Directors
on February 10, 2005. This new plan demonstrates our commitment to
continuing to make Glendale Flying Club the best it can be.
There are 15 items on the plan. The first 2 are in the order
they will be completed. The order the remaining 13 unnumbered items will be
completed is yet to be determined.
- install
new leather interiors (similar to the one recently installed in 66W) in 40F, 62S and 0LV in that
order
- purchase new paint for 40F, fix hail damage and investigate the addition of speed
modifications at the same time
- touch-up 62S’ chipped paint
- investigate 3-bladed prop for 40F when engine is next replaced
- purchase a new style of autopilot for 66W
- upgrade instruments and transponders (w/ Mode S units)
- acquire a high performance XC airplane as the Club’s 5th airplane
- purchase satellite datalink (Garmin GDL-69s) for the GNS 430s
- purchase WAAS upgrades for the GNS 430s
- investigate terrain/obstacle upgrades for the GNS 430s
- investigate MFDs for displaying GPS/weather/traffic/terrain/obstacle
- purchase a flight simulator
- purchase 406 MHz ELTs
- investigate upgrading 66W’s 2-place intercom to a 4-place intercom
- purchase a new style of autopilot for 40F
