Aviation Merit Badge Day - July 12, 2003

The Club sponsored an Aviation Merit Badge Day for Troop 317, Seneca District, Lincoln Heritage Council, Boy Scouts of America.  We had 15 Scouts go through the seven-hour program.  At the end of the day, all 15 Scouts had completed the requirements to earn their Aviation Merit Badges.  We had 13 volunteers from the Club covering the following areas: logistics; ground school; chart reading and course plotting; preflight procedures and weather analysis; food preparation; and, of course, airplane rides.  The day was a huge success!
